The Hopewell Resistance

The Hopewell Resistance is a group of freedom fighters who have grown tired of Integra's stranglehold on the City, and are determined to fight back one way or another. They operate out of a long-forgotten bunker located far beneath the busy streets of District 12, accessible through a trapdoor in Goldman's Pawn & Loan.

They've managed to tunnel beyond the bunker, into the larger tunnels of the City's sewage system, which gives them a widespread dominance over the City's underground. Most members are able to lose an ISG tail quickly and effectively by retreating into the sewers.

The Bunker is where the leader of the resistance, a man known simply as "Black," stays, his identity known only to a chosen handful of his closest lieutenants, who dole out missions to other members when the time comes.

Most members are simple civilians who have never handled weaponry before, farmers, factory workers, and criminals who never adjusted to life under Integra, all of whom are wanted for questioning by the ISG.

Not every criminal in the City is a member of the resistance, though, so be careful who you approach about joining...

As the GM, I will be playing the roles of Black and his lieutenants as well as that of Integra. If you create a character who is part of the Resistance, I will be contacting you to have the character run jobs with other players who have Resistance-allied characters. In order to complete the mission, you just have to come up with a plan and post your character's actions.

Alternatively, you can contact me about a mission at any time. Just let me know which lieutenant you're approaching and I'll come up with an appropriate mission.

Jacobs
A soldier and a veteran before the nuclear war, Jacobs is a large, grizzled man whose enthusiasm has not been dulled by age. He's in charge of training new recruits as best as he can and organizing assault missions, rescues, and raids. He's also responsible for outfitting resistance members for their missions. He's coarse but kind, and only wants to see the Resistance succeed.

Illyana
Having lived most of her adult life as a wanted criminal, Illyana is responsible for sending scouts into the city to map ISG patrols, plant listening devices, and other stealthy activities. She is caring, but impatient, with a sharp tongue. Her loyalties are often questioned, as she first moved into the Bunker to escape ISG patrols, but Black's faith speaks volumes for her.

Donovan
Donovan is responsible for keeping track of the Resistance's network of contacts, and thus works closely with Illyana. He often requires an escort when he goes to the surface. Donovan is smooth and charismatic, especially compared to the other two.
